The Korean Society for Vascular Biology and Medicine, established in 1999 as the Korea Society of Angiogenesis, has been dedicated to advancing blood vessel research in Korea. Since that time, we have grown steadily over the years, aiming to reinvigorate research and foster professional talent through international exchange and cooperation. Thank you for your passion and support for the development and growth of the society.
In 2020, despite the challenges of COVID-19, we proudly hosted the International Vascular Biology Meeting (IVBM), a premier conference in the field of vascular research. In 2023, we further elevated our society’s international standing by successfully conducting the Asia-Australia Biology Meeting (AAVBM).
Building on these accomplishments, we are committed to enhancing communication within our society, fostering research collaboration, and continuing our partnerships with related organizations both domestically and internationally. In particular, our society will sponsor a session at the IVBM 2024 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in July. I hope the participation of our many members will serve as an opportunity to strengthen ties and cooperation between leading Korean and international researchers. In addition, we will actively promote exchanges among emerging researchers from the Asian, Australian, and Korean Societies for Vascular Biology and Medicine, including The Japanese Vascular Biology and Medicine Organization. These efforts aim to nurture the future leaders of our associations and further our society’s development.
We ask for your continued support and encouragement as we work together towards a bright future for the Korean Society for Vascular Biology and Medicine.
Thank you.
President, Korean Society for Vascular Biology and Medicine
